November 26 2002

• Site news... New video! "A night at the Hard Rock Cafe" can now be seen in the videos section. Take a 2 minute ride with quick cuts highlighting a typical night of fun. I've posted the live performance request song list in PDF format in the "files for you" section of the Promo kit section. Coming soon, I'll be featuring a new testimonials section in the top menu.

• Gig news... The Fox and Hound in the SW part of town has booked me for New Years Eve. As timing would have it, the Hard Rock Cafe has decided to bring the show to their venue for some good fun. Look for dates in Jan. Babes up north has decided to bring the show in for Tuesdays, coming also in Jan. Cheers a cozy place in Arvada has a first booking in December. Check the calendar for updates, or join the weekly email list for more accurate and detailed performance and news updates.

• Music news... 12 songs finished and 8 to go in the next production run. Looks for completely new songs in upcoming performances in December, and a whole new crop of tunes during the month of January.

November 1

• Site news... Scheduling delays have the November calendar coming out a couple days late. I'll be at Lakewood Country Club tonight (Friday) and Caldonia's tomorrow. Calendar comes out Sunday Nov. 3rd.
• Gig news... Hotel guests loved the show, but employee churn at the Marriott has us starting at square one again to get approval for live music. We're hoping for Wednesdays. Babes in Northglenn has decided to do an every Tuesday solo night, they're just not sure when to start. 44 Club in Lakewood has booked me for a weekend in January. Several other rooms are in the works, more information to come in the next update.

September 24

• Site news... To obtain high res pictures from any of the vacation photo albums see Sept 20th post below.
Family and friends wanting a high res picture or print from the kayak trip, swamp hike, Volcano night or surfing & snorkelling albums, see Sept 20th post below and email me.

With all the questions I've recieved lately about Kaua'i, this news update has a few photo albums from vacation, and few factoids on Kaua'i since it is so unique.

Kaua'i is the oldest of the Hawaiian islands it has:
--43 miles of beaches,
--18 miles of the Napali Coast,
--the one of a kind Alakai swamp (7mi hike) at 3000ft,
--a miniature grand canyon,
--a volcano crater that is the rainiest place in the world with 480inches of rain a year (average!),
--several inner island mountains & waterfalls seen in the jurassic park movies, 6 days 7 nights, air america, the recent Kevin Costner"dragonfly" and "fantasy island",
--the beaches and coastline have been in movies like south pacific, and the elvis hit "blue hawaii" to name a couple
--Oh, and 8 golf courses

Take all the above and cram it into 500 square miles. To put that into perspective, the Denver metro area in 1994 was...535 square miles. You can circumnavigate the island in a helicopter in one hour, and have all that fun in area the size of what we commute in here in Denver everyday.

September 20

• Site news... I'm back from the beautiful Islands of Hawaii. I've posted the photo album from the Napali kayak trip for the other paddlers in the group. Fellow paddlers, family and friends can have whichever picture you choose emailed to you in high quality (2meg) size for printing or desktop display. Just email me with the picture you would like. The pictures are straight from the camera and untouched. I can make any changes that you wish to darkness/bright/contrast/sharpness/color balance etc. just let me know.

Many people have asked what Kauai is like, so I'll be doing an update soon with an overview of Kauai for future vacationers.

• Gig news... Shenanigan's in Litteton has signed on for live acoustic Sat. nights. I'll be starting an every Sat. show at the Marriot in the Jackson's sports bar with promotion and sponsorship by Budweiser. Lakewood country club has booked the fall so look for new dates members. I'll be doing one show at The C note in Littleton. I'll be performing Thursdays at Heavenly Daze starting in October. Caldonia's wants to do a live acoustic night and will be giving final details on that next week. The October calendar will come out next week as well so stay tuned.

August 1

• Gig news... Summer is coming to a rapid close. The last remaining patio dates will be every Wednesday at Hops. Booking for the fall has begun. Accounts are the drawing board are: Jacksons in the suburbs, Bennigans, The Hard Rock Cafe, Applebee's, CB potts, a new country club, and Heavenly Daze.

• Site news... The website will continue in its current form until a site redesign by the end winter. New pictures and video will be added in the fall.

• Music news... I have an electric guitar rig at live shows. So now some "BANG" can be added to spice things up whenever you want. The Fabulous Thunderbirds "wrap it up" has been added as well as "Brick House". Recording gear went down and has been getting repaired for 3 weeks, so the production run has to be finished after my vacation in Hawaii. Look for new songs to be added by the end of October.

May 30

• Gig news... Jackson's in Lodo is excited about live music. I'll be at Jackson's each week for a Friday live music happy hour through the end of the summer. Seagrams has offered to sponsor my shows at Jackson's. Expect great drink specials. Check the calendar for specific dates. I'll also be performing post-game at Jackson's for every Rockies Sunday home game so be sure to join us on the roof for fun on the newly remodeled deck (think flowers, view, room, and huge shade screens). Bennigan's is also excited about live music. They're looking to do a live music happy hour on Thursday's if they can move it through that corporate approval process.

• Site news... The calendar page has been updated with an expanded monthly view for the summer. Part 2 of the demo video and updates to the photo section will be coming by mid July.

• Music news... All parts except bass and guitar are finished for the 20 song production run. 17 songs are learned on bass. Final production and mastering begins in 2 weeks.

April 22

• Gig news... The Jacksons performance after the Coors Stadium season opener was wild n' crazy. More dates have already been scheduled. Check the calendar for specific dates. There will be pictures from this gig in the "Fun!" album of the photos section soon so come on back. Heavenly Daze has booked a month of Thursday happy hours 6-9 p.m. Be sure to drop in and show your support for live music happy hours!! The first performance at Red Rocks Country Club went swimmingly well and more dates have been booked.

• Music news... Horns are finished on Van Morrison's "Domino" and the disco hit "Celebration". Keys are finished on "Domino", "Celebration" and Santana's "Smooth".

April 1

• Gig news... Baseball fans...I'll be performing after the first home game at Jackson's by the stadium. The summer is booked at Hops check the calendar for specific dates.

• Video news.. Part 2 of the new extended video is slated to be installed on the site hopefully in about a month. Instead of 6 minutes, I'm working on editing it to a fun packed 3 minutes and split into 3 sections.

• Music news...Production continues on 20 more songs to be added to the show.

March 13

• Gig news... A couple sit-ins for my friend Shane Paul are sheduled at Thirsties (see calendar page). In a few weeks, I may begin some dates at CB Potts, Jackson's by the stadium as well as Heavenly Daze. Booking will begin for the summer at Hops.

• Video news...There is a new extended demo video available for event inquiries. Its called "the evening tour". It takes you through a variety of events from cocktails to cutting the rug in 6 minutes. Click here to order a video to review for your event. Type your name, shipping address and a video will be rushed to you.

• Music news...Production has begun to finish keys & horns on 6 songs, and bass & guitar on 14 others. Visit again for more updates.

Feb 26

• Gig news... Successful meetings with Lodo's, The C note, Panache catering and the sales manager at the Westin will put a few dates on the calendar this spring. On March 14 I'll do an opening happy hour at Heavenly Daze brewery bringing in a social club called The Fischer Group.

• Site news... Photo albums are now on the site. The "Fun!" photo album is loaded with action shots of just that.....Fun! The "Faces" album is now complete with a few selections as well.

Feb 13

• Thanks... to the friends and fans who helped double check the site on their computers for me. See the contact page and let me know if any glitches appear for you.

• Gig news... I'll be starting at another country club in April for a couple months at Red Rocks Country Club (sorry, members only....but its all new and very nice). Check back for upcoming news on new rooms.

• Site news... In my spare time (yea right...) I will begin posting photos from the archives into the photos section. There will be 3 photo albums "Fun!" "Stage" and "Faces".
News updates will be shorter and come less often due to the upcoming overload in music and sales work.

• Music news... In a couple weeks, in addition to selling the cover show, I'll begin the final phase of recording and completion of 20 additional one man band songs for the cover tune show.
