Gig news... I've invested all my time into rounding out my product this fall (see below). Despite that and almost no selling, three new venues are on the map & Platte river grill has started their first winter with live music. And thanks to some great efforts by fellow musicians, new rooms are opening up including Pinehurst golf club & The lodge casino in Blackhawk (see Dec. calendar).
Music news... The extra work on guitar is really paying off. As a result of having the time I need to really sink my teeth into the instrument, I'm about 5 times faster and more precise on guitar than I used to be. I've also been learning professional level video editing, internet, and DVD authoring softwear for a promotional DVD that is coming out within the next quarter.
Site news... Newslist subscribers who are wondering where the weekly updates are (and who missed the news in Sept), weekly email has been suspened until I've attained my goals. In addition, news updates such as this will be few and far between until I reach the other side of what I've set out to do.
September 30
Fall performance announcement:
Gig news... I'm going for the leanest fall schedule I've ever had--intentionally. I've weighed local live market conditions against what I want to do to finish rounding out my product and have chosen the latter. Weekly news list subscribers have been informed with the details.
Music news... I've added a new "experimental" electric guitar to the show for the next few weeks. Come to a show to see the "franken-tele-strat". Guitar work has taken on a furied pace with lots of "woodshedding" and adding songs. Chuck Berry and Beach Boys are the latest additions.
August 19
Gig news... The summer has flashed by a in a blur of performances. Outdoor performances are winding up with a partying labor day weekend featuring performances at Hops, Hooters and a beautiful outdoor performance at the village lake in Keystone resort.
Music news... The new Fuchs guitar amp is now rocking the one man band portion of the show and the electric has never sounded better. Over the next few weeks I'll fine tune the guitar rig and effects and start adding the songs I worked on for so long.
July 15
Gig news... Its been a busy summer as usual. I did 16 gigs last month and 15 in may. September is booking up and (hopefully) will be a lighter work month.
Music news... The next 8 weeks will be very exciting for the musical part of the show. There'll be a lot of new songs, and a fantastic new electric guitar amp taking the 1 man band sound to new heights. Several songs have been mastered in the last couple weeks despite the busy schedule. 17 of 20 songs have finished the final recording process and are ready for me to learn guitar & vocals. Only 3 to go!
June 3 (updated June 18)
Gig news... The summer is booked. Booking for the fall season has begun. I've left a few random dates open this summer for mountain trips, or private events so reserve now. I will be touring to the west coast to visit my rocket scientist sister (high clearance dark projects) in the fall so reserve some dates if you manage a public venue.
Be sure to hit one of the excellent Hooters, Adams Mark, Hops or Platte river patios this summer to catch the high energy show.
Site news... Plan your summer fun with the newly updated summer calendar taking you through the end of August.
Music news... A new guitar amp is being added to the show. The one man band material will sound better than ever. Look for new electric guitar sounds by August (boutique amp builders take a while).

Platte River grill is set to explode this summer with amazing additions to the place. Don't miss the performances scheduled there. February 3
Site news... February calendar has arrived.
Gig news... I've been meeting a number of venues in the past few weeks. After doing some performances in Montana over Christmas and a trip to Arizona, its good to get back to the live schedule . Some seeds planted as early as October of last year are coming to fruition. A fair number of venues in Denver have closed down in the last 3 months. With the economy the way its been, several rooms are now looking to be proactive in these tough times, create fun for their customers and stand out from their competition. Look for upcoming dates in 2-3 brand new rooms on the calendar as soon as Feb-March. My opening night at the Fox & Hound was a hit. Look for more dates and possibly some Wednesdays there in the future.
Music news... Several new songs are finished and ready to be added to the show. Some new songs include; "Pretty Woman", Cool & the Gang's "Celebration", Sugar Ray's "I just wanna fly", Van Morrison's "Domino", and Joe Cocker's "You can leave your hat on".
January 3
Site news... January calendar has arrived.
Gig news... ROAD NOTES:
The Montana road trip was a blast. I hope to post a couple snapshots in the next few weeks. Red Lodge reminds me of Telluride back in 1984 with a great cross section of people from all over the U.S. Even though I didn't bring my gear with me, the owner of snow creek insisted I ski and set me up. Red Lodge carries a full day lift ticket price of $35. Sean Kelly's in Missoula was full of dancing locals and treated me to some great Montana hospitality in their upscale and diverse irish pub/restaurant. I had no idea people in Missoula dance more than folks in Denver. New Year's Eve brought an evening of elegant yet unabashed celebration and mayhem to Elite financial's year end bash. I enjoyed the 8 ice scuptures, casino, excellent catering and service, and most important...the fun of a hi energy group of over 100 guests.
Gig news... BOOKING:
If you live on the northern end of town, mark your calendars for Tuesday nights in February at Babes in Northglen. The Fox & Hound in Littleton has embraced live music after an impressive performance from my friends Keith & Neil on New Years. Jackson's in Thornton is readying a stage and getting their ducks in a row for some future live music. Noddies and Cheers in Lakewood and Arvada will be bringing me in soon so keep reading those emails.
Music news... Five new songs are now in the live show. "We're Jammin'", "Brick House", "Louie Louie", Buddy Holly's "That'll be the day" and the 80's retro party tune "Word Up" by Cameo.
