Visit the Storm Web Log for hurricane Katrina for stories of my experiences from the front lines.

Dec 20

I've completed my work in New Orleans and have really enjoyed my first day back in town today. Final claim closures are immenent and I am on the verge of "stand down" status from Katrina.....which is why I'm home and it feels great to be in Colorado again.

For those asking where the storm log is.....its coming soon. I kept a basic storm log when I had time, but the program & laptop I use need landline internet so I couldn't post to the site until now.

Immediate plans consist of catching up with friends, taking an inventory of my life while getting back into writing and putting this new house together. I'll be back with more music related updates in the new year, but come on back and check out the storm log soon.

BIG NEWS... I'm being deployed to hurricane Katrina as a catastrophe insurance adjuster and have handed all future performances to Denver's best full time solo acts when I'm deployed to storms.

I decided after 8 years of solo act work, the best way to become more prosperous and do music on my own terms was to make a change that facilitated my goals instead of working against them. Go here for more details about my first deployment and what is next on the musical horizon.

Unfortunately, declining appreciation of live music in Denver public venues, the state of the economy in Denver and the influx of undercutting "day job" musicians have all culminated in a live music scene where the goals I have are hindered not helped. So I've made a change for the better.

The calendar up to today will remain posted here and will be absorbed by Keith Wren, Don Lewis and Paul Glover. Don't miss seeing these great solo acts. They've been my musical "familly" for years now and I'm a big fan of their talent and look up to them like brothers.

I am going, but not gone forever and for those who have been faithful to the show and live performances the last 8 years, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!

Gig news... I haven't updated since May?! Well.....
I have done 43 gigs since may, been selling & buying a house, and booking the fall as well as working on a couple other projects. Fall has been booked at Old Chicago, Champps, Gibby's and Key West. Champps decided that Thursday solo acts were so good, they're adding Wednesdays as well. I've set up Illegal Pete's with a fall schedule, and am setting up a fall schedule for another room on S. Sheridan Blvd.

Site news... August calendar is up, September Calendar is up.

Music news... I did my first paying video/DVD gig for the opening of Pradera Country Club. Video is fun! Production/re-master work with my current cover solo act show with start up again this fall. This winter I plan to go into writing/woodshed mode to generate material for a singer/songwriter CD I've been wanting to do forever.

Gig news... The new year begins with potential winter work in Denver at an all time high. I would like to start a boutique agency called 1manbands.com this year. Currently each solo act I would like to have in the agency of 1manbands.com is finding and sharing work with the other acts so prosperity potential for everyone is the highest its been since I started sharing work with others. Its a good start to a new year .

Site news... January calendar is mostly complete with the exception of a potential last second booking from Josephina's.
